Last week saw us land a nice double, but ultimately get let down by Stoke, in a highly unexpected Aston Villa victory. This week however, im confident we can beat the bookies and secure a nice profit.
There are a number of teams that i fancy to win today, with form slowly coming more evident as the games pass by. In the Premier League there are some really nice odds about for some straight forward games. Both Swansea and Southampton impressed in game week 1, and both have home games against weak teams who i have tipped for relegation. Swansea (8-11) looked nailed on to make it 2 wins from 2 as they entertain a weak Burnley side at the Liberty stadium. Swansea didnt even hit top gear but still managed to beat Man Utd on day 1. With a full strength team for the first time in a while they possess great pace on the wings, and with a fluid passing mentality and some top ball players in the middle of the park i think they will safely put Burnley to bed. Southampton surprised many in their opener at Anfield, and were unlucky not to get at least a point and at 5/6 (Paddy Power) are nice odds to defeat a poor West Brom team. With Chelsea a dead cert, there are clear double and treble options with these selections. I've opted for Swansea as my bet of the day.
Swansea to beat Burnley £50 win 8-11 (Hills)
In the championship there are 3 sides that stick out. Forest, Derby and Middlesborough should all pick up 3 points in their respected home games. They are 3 teams i fully expect to be pushing for automatic promotion this season. Forest (10-11) entertain Reading and have really impressed at the start of the season, their most recent victory coming at Bournemeouth in mid-week really showed their resilience and ability to win, even away at an in form team. Derby (4-5) have had a steady start to the season without hammering anyone, and they are at home to a under-pressure Fulham side who have been poor in losing all 3 games so far in the league this season. M'boro are 10-11 to defeat a Sheffield Wednesday side who have started ok, but i feel Boro will be too strong for them today. Out of the 3 teams, i fancy all to win but predict M'boro as the most solid.
Into league 1 and there are some stand out teams teams here too. Leyton Orient and Preston are my picks here. Preston (13-20) have started strongly and entertain a weak Oldham side who are yet to win this season and i will add them to my 4-fold as a short price but big fancied win. Leyton Orient haven't had the best start but i predict them to kick start their season at home to a Walsall side who wont trouble them too much.
There are a lot of bookies offering money back if 1 team lets you down on an accumulator, with most offering this for 5 or 6 placed accys. Ladbrookes, however, offer this for any 4-team accumulator where 1 team lets you down. This is up to the value of £25, and will become standard week by week bet for myself. This is especially good if you fancy 3 teams and can add a short price dead cert to the mix to both increase the odds and give you that money back if 1 team lets you down.
This weeks 4-fold £20 Chelsea, Swansea, Southampton, Preston 5-1 (Ladbrokes) *this is also best market price* £20 return shuld 1 team not win.
Good Luck
