Boxing Day saw mixed success with Watford costing me dearly. Not only did they fail to win and cost my single but they reduced my winnings on my lucky 31 to £57 from around £200 had they won. They weren’t the best id seen them, but were unlucky in the end as Wolves should have had a man sent off and Watford also hit the woodwork twice, so the result could have been different. As predicted, Spurs, Man City and Bournemouth all won. Everton were also unlucky against Stoke as they should have been playing 10 men, and the penalty they conceded after this point was very soft. I still think Everton are about to turn the corner, they have too many good players not to push on.
During this festive period the good thing is that the games keep coming, and I’ve got another set of tips for you for the games on the 28th as there is another full fixture list. In the Premier League there are a couple games I like the look of but have only gone for one. QPR are 16/11 to beat the managerless Crystal Palace. QPR’s home form has been great of late, and they have won for me in the past, but I also think that Palace are a threat away from home with players like Bolasie and Puncheon on the break, as a result im leaving this for today but still think QPR are a decent bet if you fancy it. Today’s longshot is West Ham. I have been impressed with them this season and they have won 6 of their last 7 home games, drawing the other against Man City. I have the feeling Allardyce really fancies an upset here, and with Arsenals defensive woes and injury list, I have a feeling they will upset the odds here. West Ham are 5/2 to win this and double chance is 4/6 which is safer and also a great bet. I will have a little dabble on the 5/2 as a hunch more than anything, but will leave it out of the 5 fold due to it being a little risky.

In the Championship i'm very much going with the form teams. Bournemouth have been flying over the last few weeks and are currently top of the league. They travel to lowly Millwall who got battered 6-1 on boxing day and must be very low on confidence. Although Bournemouth are away, that didn’t matter when they defeated Blackpool 6-1 at Bloomfield Road in their last away game. At 19/20 this is really good odds and makes the first part of this game weeks 5 fold and lucky 31. My bet of the day in the championship is Norwich. We know they have an excellent squad, having retained many of their Premier League players and also bolstering the team with the additions of Jerome and Cuellar to name but 2. They have won their last 2 home games scoring 11 in the process, and also come off the back of an away win at Wigan and a draw at Derby, where they were the better team. Tomorrow they face a Reading team that is sat 17th in the league and who have lost 2 and drawn 1 of their last 3 home games. Norwich are 6/5 to win this, and I will also add this to the accy and lucky 31.

I have chosen 2 games from league 1 this week. MK Dons are very much the form team in the division. They have closed the gap on the leaders Bristol City over the last few weeks and I feel they will be right up there this season. Tomorrow they face Walsall on the back of an 9 game unbeaten run in the league where they have won 7. Walsall are a typical mid-table team that can cause the odd upset, but I believe MK dons will win this. They are only 4-6 so I won’t be having this as a single, but will add it to the accy and Lucky 31. The second game in league 1 to get added to my accy and Lucky 31 is Preston. Preston can’t stop winning at the moment and they travel to bottom of the table Crewe. They are only 3/4, but I’m sure they will win this, and make that extra addition to my 5 fold. Preston have won 5 from their last 6 and I think they will win again here.
League 2 sees my bet of the day. Luton have already cleaned up for me a few times this season and I’ve been waiting for their next home game! They are entertaining Pompey tomorrow and are still a great price at 21/20, despite having won 8 on the bounce at home stretching back to the beginning of October. Portsmouth lye 15th in the league having lost 5 and drawn 1 of their last 6 away from home. This has to be the ultimate no brainer!
