Saturday 17th January betting tips

Another £100 was added to the profit cart last week, and 1 more goal for Bolton would have made it another 4/4. As it was I was relatively happy, and at the end of the day its all about creating profit. This weekend I will again stick with the same formula in terms of bets, with slightly less stakes due to the difficult nature of the fixture list.

Despite the troublesome nature of the fixtures, im quite happy with my selections in the end. In the Premier League there was only Spurs that I liked the look of. They are in good form at the moment and entertain Sunderland at White Hart Lane. 2 things put me off. Firstly, odds of 8/15 is poor, especially when you look at the fact that sunderland have only lost 1 in their last 6 away from home, and nearly upset Manchester City a couple of weeks ago. They also have Jermaine Defoe likely to play, surely he would love a goal against his old team, and who would bet against that?! So as a result of this, today's 4 bets come from the other leagues.

In The championship I have chosen 2 of the best teams in the league. Firstly, I have gone for one of the form team in the country at the moment. Bournemouth have earned a lot of money for me recently and they continue to churn out wins week after week. This week they are away from home, which means their odds are much better. They are 10/11 to win at Rotherham. If we bare in mind the fact that they won their 5-1 in the FA cup 2 weeks back, and have won 5/6 away from home averaging 2.5 goals per game, and also they will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to Norwich (which I incidentally picked as a potential banana skin by the way!). This is my Bet of the day, which I have had as a single and is furthermore the first part of tomorrows 4-fold and lucky 15's. The second leg of this is that of Middlesborough. Their home form is very consistent. In fact they are unbeaten in 9 at home. If we combine this with the knowledge that Huddersfield have the worst away record in the league over the last 6 away games (lost 5 and drawn 1), you can see why even at 7/10 I have added this to today's bets.

Bournemouth to beat Rotherham, £50 @10/11 William Hill.

League 1 is the place of today's second single. Bradford looked mightily impressive in hammering Millwall in the FA cup and are one of the form teams in League 1. They are away to Yeovil tomorrow in a clash of forms. Yeovil have the worst home record in the league, both over the season and also over the last 6 games. They have lost 5/6 and won 1 home game all season! Bradford ,however, have the second best away form in League 1 this campaign and have won their last 3 on a bounce. 17/10 is the best value of the weekend, and this is also added to tomorrows 4-fold and lucky 15. My final bet is that of Swindon. Swindon are currently top of league 1 and ripped Coventry to shreds in their game in midweek, winning 3-0 at the Ricoh. They face a decent Chesterfield side, but Swindon have won 7 of their last 10 home and away and also only lost 2 games at home all season. Swindon are 10/11 and I fancy this to complete a big weekend!
