October 11th 2014 Betting Tips

Sorry about the late posts but it has been a very busy week.  Another winning NAP but a poor accumulator again.  A £33 loss last week was disappointing.  Yet again the NAP was victorious but the other results were poor.  3 draws and a shock home defeat for Rochdale topped off a disappointing weekend.

You  know it is going to be a tough betting weekend when EVERY single game in League One and Two seems the home teams odds of even money or better (depending on bookies).  I don't think I have ever seen a weekend like it.

It is for the reason above that this weekend sees a slighter shorter post and also with the top two leagues in England not in action, due to the international break.  I have looked at League One and Two this week and only have one real stand out game.  Bristol City to beat Chesterfield seems nailed on.  It would have been even more nailed on had Chesterfield been without their first choice keeper due to a red card against Sheffield United.  The card was rescinded and it saves them having to put in their second choice youngster, who looked horrific against The Blades.  Bristol City are even money with Victor.  I thought the odds of 10/11 early in the week (with the keeper still out) were golden with Sky Bet so I have £200 on my NAP with Sky Bet.  You could get better if you were to take Victor's price.  Bristol City are still undefeated in the league and Chesterfield have a poor home record.  Nothing else floats my boat in League One this week as this seems such a great bet I am chucking all my eggs in a Bristol City basket.

In League Two there is also little to pick from but Exeter at 11/10 with Victor seems the stand out bet.  Exeter seem to be 2-1 win specialists and Hartlepool are in free fall.  A good 0-0 draw with Portsmouth has been Hartlepool's best result in a long time.  I am going £100 on Exeter.

All other games, for me,are too tough to call and providing analysis would prove difficult.  I think lots of games are tosses of a coin (a three sided one obviously).

If you are backing anything other than the two games I have tipped I would advise proceeding with caution.

The decision is whether or not to back the double.  It is like picking the same numbers on the lottery and then not picking them one week, I have gone double every week and been unsuccessful.  It would be the week I don't back it that it comes in.  It is for this reason I am going to have a £50 double on the above two games.

MY BETS

Bristol City £200 (10/11 with Sky Bet, although you can now get Even money with Victor)

Exeter £100 (11/10 Coral)

Double £50 (4.2 Victor)

Good Luck and Here is to a winning weekend.

Another little tip.  I backed MVG in the darts earlier in the week, £65 at 3 to 1.  With Taylor now out you could do a lot worse than backing Mighty Mike at even money with Bet 365.  He has the easier passage to the final against BDO winner Bunting.  He would face an in form Wade or Anderson in the final.  My money would be on Wade who is just odds against.

I am off to York today to the races, if anyone has any tips for me then let me know. 🙂
