Well after the international break, i'm sure like me you are ready for the return of the top flight domestic competitions! It's been 2 weeks since the last round of Premier League games, and what a shock it was to see Stoke overturn Manchester City at the Etihad. Thankfully we had a nice easy win from my bet of the day in Swansea, and also a nice little winner from Forest (again!).
This week creates a few tougher decisions however. The fixture list is stacked with games that you could see going either way, and even the PL games which see Liverpool at home to Villa and Chelsea at home to Swansea that you would normally assume as dead certs look like potential banana skins with the form of the 2 away sides, and are ones to avoid for me at 1/3 a pop best price. I don't like to say this, but perhaps the PL games are one to watch this weekend, with the opportunity to look for some in-play action.
Into the championship and again there aren't any ‘bankers'. With Forest playing Derby tomorrow in an unpredictable affair, Norwich away at Cardiff and Wolves and Watford also away its tough to safely say any of these teams will win. That said Wolves are decent odds to pick up a win at pointless Blackpool and 19/20 is tempting. A better bet would be Bournemouth who are at home to Rotherham. Rotherham have done OK in their return to the Championship but Bournemouth are one of the best teams in the division on their own ground in my opinion, and i can see them taking all 3 points today. They are 4/5 with Coral and worth adding to a multiplier.
League one has some nice looking fixtures today. I can see wins for Bristol City, Fleetwood, Sheffield United and Peterborough but which is the pick of these? Initially i thought at Evs Sheffield Utd were perhaps the best value, however, looking into it further Rochdale have had some nice results over the last few games, winning their last 2 away games 4-0 and 5-2! so that has pushed me away from this one. Bristol City have started the season well, and i think they have the squad and infrastructure to be right up there this season. They play newly relegated Doncaster Rovers who have started poorly and at 10/11 (Bet victor) are another to add to a multiplier. Peterborough are top of the table in this league and are 7/10 with Skybet to defeat Notts County. Peterborough have won 5 from 6 this season only losing to Sheff Utd and today i cant see anything other than a Peterborough win. Im putting this as my bet of the day.
Peterborough to beat Notts County £50 win 7/10 with Skybet.
League 2 pits a number of bottom of the table teams against those towards the top of the table, however the top teams are away from home! There is one stand out game however. Burton are top of the league and flying at the moment. They entertain York, who have started ok, but i think Burton (13-10) will get a nice win today, and again this is another game for a multiplier.
Ladbrokes have removed their money back offer on 4 team acca, and changed it to 5! this makes me sad! so i'm moving away from the 4 fold acca and today going for a nice little treble.
Bournemouth to beat Rotherham, Bristol City to beat Doncaster Rovers and Burton Albion to beat York City. £20 treble 7.91 Bet Victor.
good luck as always.
