April 3rd and 4th Football Betting Tips

If you followed my tips to the letter last week then you would be on the receiving end of a £21.25 loss.  I did lay County, my NAP, when they were 2-1 up so I actually didn't lose anything on that game.  However, I have left the spreadsheet to show a loss in the interests of transparency and to show how your balance would look if you followed all the tips I have given.  NAPS are 16 out of 32 now.  Given the nature of the prices I often tip this NAP record is not surprising, but if you had been backing them all, without fluctuating the state, you would be in considerable profit.  The two lowest price teams came in last week and also the highest priced.  This strategy can be high risk but it reaps the rewards if it drops in.  With just over £1600 profit this season we still have plenty to play with.  Let's give it a go again this week.  The International games are over so it is back to the domestic leagues.  This week I will not start with the Premier League as these games take place on Saturday.  Most of the others take place on, what I hope will be a, Good Friday.

The Championship – Middlesbrough look to get back to winning ways, they are at home against Wigan who are swimming against the tide.  The price is low and at 4/7 (Stan James) it doesn't take a genius to realise that the bookies don't want to give too much away.  A team just slightly below Wigan are Millwall, who host Charlton 15/8 (Stan James).  I think Charlton are a good price, especially considering they do tend to perform well against the teams below them.  The last game in this league takes place on the Saturday with Sheffield Wednesday 11/10 (Stan James) at home to Huddersfield.  Wednesday have been finding it difficult to score at home and have one of the worst home records in the league, despite this they are finding some recent form and Huddersfield may find it difficult to halt their bad run.

Friday 3rd April

Middlesbrough (4/7 Stan James) Vs Wigan

Millwall Vs Charlton (15/8 Stan James)

Saturday 4th April

Sheffield Wednesday (11/10 Stan James) Vs Huddersfield

League One – Bristol City are a team who are extremely difficult to back against, and this weekend is no exception.  They are 10/11 (Paddy Power) away to Oldham.  I think they will get back to their winning ways and inflict more misery on Oldham who have a record in their last 10 of W3 L7.  This is the only game that I like the look off across the two days.

Oldham Vs Bristol City (11/10 Paddy Power)

League Two – There is only one game I fancy in this league too but it will be my NAP.  Wycombe at home to Oxford at 10/11 (William Hill).  This is a cracking price, I understand Oxford have only lost 2 in 8 but Wycombe are still harbouring hopes of topping the league.  I can't see Wycombe letting this opportunity slip

Wycombe (10/11 William Hill) Vs Oxford

The Premier League – I don't like the look of the Sunday and Monday games so I will concentrate on the Saturday.  Arsenal and Liverpool clash in the early kick off and both teams are in good form.  It will be tough to say how much the international break has taken it's toll on the teams.  Arsenal are 17/20 (Paddy Power) and whilst I like the look of it I think the odds are slightly too low.  West Brom 3/4 (Paddy Power) Vs QPR is another game I like the look of but not necessarily the odds, once again they are slightly too short.  The only other potential bet is another low price of 8/13 (SkyBet) for under 2.5 goals in the Swans game Vs Hull.  Neither team is prolific in front of goal so I fancy it to be low scoring, maybe the Swans will nick it.

Saturday 4th April

Arsenal (17/20 Paddy Power) Vs Liverpool

West Brom (3/4 Paddy Power) Vs QPR

Swansea Vs Hull Under 2.5 goals (8/13 Skybet)

As some additional fun, but more importantly profit, I will perm all 8 selections in 37 bets comprising of 6 folds and above.  Total bets is £37 with each bet being £1.  The best odds, by far, for the 8 fold is 189.29 at Bet Victor, the closest to it is 161.44 at Boyle Sports.  6 winners returns a profit but 8 and it's party time.

Here is hoping for a Great Easter Weekend.  Good Luck.  I have a feeling this weekend is going to be an eggcellent one (I nearly got to the end without cracking an egg yolk)!
