Another strong week last week saw profit rise further. I landed the combination of 3 championship singles and the treble. The Notts County bet was very disappointing, however. The odds looked too good to be true, and the in-play markets showed that something was a-miss with this game. I wont dwell on this however as we still came out on top. Lets keep the ball rolling this week with some more stunners!
The bet of the day comes in the Premier League. Tomorrow's lunchtime kick-off see's Chelsea go to Anfield. Chelsea (13-10) are fantastic odds considering the 2 teams contrasting form and success this season. Chelsea have been by far the best team in the league this season, and Liverpool have been nothing more than average. I expected Chelsea to be odds on for this, so i will lump on them to win this. Chelsea are unbeaten away from home all season and average 2.2 points per game. They should have won their last away game at Old Trafford, and would have be it not for a last minute RVP equaliser. In contrast Liverpool only average 1 goal per game at home and have failed to win against the likes of Hull and Villa at Anfield. Another good bet in the PL comes at Upton Park where West Ham entertain Villa. Villa have the worst form in the league at the moment having lost their last 6 games. Furthermore, i have seen them play 3 of these games and they have been very average. On the flip side, West Ham have been one of the surprise teams this season. Their new attacking style has delighted the home fans, and Big Sam seems to have won a lot of people over. The Hammers have won their last 3 home games, and at 3-4 are pretty good odds to win this. The odds are a little short for a single, but i will be adding this to 2 other home games to complete a tasty treble.
The Championship offers its usual array of games that could go either way, and despite last weeks triumph there are no bets i overly fancy tomorrow. I like the look of Reading at home to Charlton, however, Charlton draw a lot of games and are tight at the back, so could see them getting a point here which puts me off this. There are no other games i like the look of here, so its a little short i know, but that's my judgement of these group of fixtures, and with gambling its sometimes as much about the games you don't do, as it is about the games you do. It's a fine margin between picking those games you stick your neck out for and actually back, and those that are best watched.
There are no league 1 or 2 games tomorrow, as its FA cup weekend! There are the usual mix of potential banana skins, those games that look nailed on wins and a few games that could go either way. To start with I've picked out 2 home games to join West ham for my tasty treble! The first of these comes with Plymouth Argyle(2-5) who are playing at home to the mighty ‘AFC Fylde'. Nothing against all you Flyde fans, but i have never heard of you. My non-league knowledge isn't amazing, but i know a lot of clubs, and this isn't one of them. For that reason i have to go with the bigger club to take a comfy win, Plymouth. The final piece of this treble comes at Luton. Luton (6-5) have been flying of late and are at home to Newport County. This game pits together 2 League 2 clubs. Although its a cup game, the rules don't change and i expect Luton to continue their recent form. They have won their last 4 at home, and have not lost in 10 league games.
My final bet of the day comes with a current favorite team in Rochdale. That truly unfashionable team have done me proud twice this season at big odds, and tomorrow, although the odds aren't as big, 6-5 is still good odds in a game against lower league opposition. Rochdale have 1 of the best away form records in the country, and playing away at Northampton i fully expect them to continue that form. Dale have won 5 of their last 6 away from home, averaging 2.7 goals per game. you truly cant argue with those stats, and 6-5 is sexy odds!!
