Time to reassess. So far, two weeks in, I am £17 down. Let's remember though we are in this for the long haul. During a boxing career you can't be expected to win every single round.
The premier league is too tricky this week with just a couple of obvious stand outs. A Chelsea and Spurs double pays just 1.8 with Stan James. It isn't a terrible price but I still feel it is a bit short.
Sheffield United (3/4 with 365) NAP
Sheffield United Vs Crawley Town. Sheffield United picked up their first league points of the season and I can see them picking up another 3 points here. A bit of tinkering by Clough has seen many changes in all of United's opening games. Plenty of new signings has seen the team needing to gel. They look to be making steps to achieving some success.
Middlesbrough (10/11 with 365)
Middlesbrough Vs Sheffield Wednesday. I am going to go with Middlesbrough again this week. They have got off to a decent start and were unlucky against Leeds last week. If their “goal” had been allowed then I think the result would have been totally different. At odds of 10/11 with 365 I think they are well worth a punt. Sheffield Wednesday have started off well this season too and it is a vast improvement on last year. The teams played at Middlesbrough in the league almost a year ago and the match ended 1-1. I expect Middlesbrough to go one step further this year and take the victory.
Wimbledon (Evens with BetFred)
Wimbledon Vs Hartlepool. I am basing this bet on form and the current struggles of the Hartlepool team. I think the price offers value based on how the teams have started the season.
