29th November 2014 Tips

By | November 29, 2014

Last week we saw profit for the season rise to nearly £400. The only team to let me down was another suspicious game at Meadow Lane with Notts County. They were wrongly sent to 10 men early doors and then conceded 2 late goals to lose the match. Despite this the other 4 teams all won so we had another good week.

This week i have picked out a few more nice tips for your perusal. Lets start in the Premier League. My bet of the day here comes at Loftus Road. QPR have had a recent change in fortune at home and today they entertain Leicester. QPR drew with Man City last time out and previously beat Villa at home and were 1 minute away from a point with Liverpool. Prior to this they beat Sunderland and drew with Stoke. So they have form at home, especially when we consider what form Leicester are in. The Foxes have lost their last 4 away from home, and i think they will lose this one too. What makes it better is the odds. QPR are 29/20 to win this which i think is great odds. The second game i like the look of is Swansea to beat Crystal Palace. The Swans have done well for me this season and are generally a good team at home. In contrast Palace are poor away from Selhurst Park. The Swans have won 3 and drawn 1 of their last 4 at home, and looked good in their last encounter against Arsenal at The Liberty. Palace however are without a win in their last 3 away games and i think the swans will win this today. Swansea are 5/6 and this game will make up the first leg of today's Treble.

QPR to beat Leicester City £50 29/20 with Betvictor

In the championship today we have our usual mix of tough and tight fixtures and im not going to be touching this league today. There are 2 games i like the look of, but neither enough to get my wallet out for. The first game was Bournemouth who are at home to Millwall. I personally never like betting against Millwall as they often upset the odds, and at 11/10 the odds are too short anyway. Secondly, and similarly is the Leeds vs Derby game. i do think Derby will win this, and evs money is a good price even though they are away from home. However, again Leeds are capable on their day, and at home they don't lose many. As a result il leave well alone today.

League 1 see's some more interesting games today. I like the look of Preston this season. They have stuttered a little in recent weeks but got back on track with a win at Ashton Gate last week. Any team that can win their will give anyone a tough game. Today they play away at Yeovil and are 5/4 to win this. Yeovil are without a win in their last 4 at home and still sit in the bottom 3. I will add this game to the swansea game to make the second leg of todays treble. The third part of todays treble also comes in League 2 with MK Dons at home to Colchester. MK Dons are strong at home and despite the 4/6 price im going to add them to todays treble. They have the best home record in the league and are unbeaten in 7. In contrast Colchester are without a win in their last 4 away days and sit in the relegation zone.

Swansea to beat Palace, Preston to beat Yeovil and MK Dons to beat Colchester. £25 treble 6.88 with Boylesports.

The Final bet of the day is also my bet of the day. Luton Town sit 3rd in the league and have won their last 6 on the bounce at home. They play Mansfield Town today who have struggled to find any kind of form this season. Luton are Evs money with William Hill and i think this should be a great opportunity to double our money.

29th November Betting Tips

By | November 28, 2014

I have dusted myself down from last weekend and I am ready to jump back on my horse.  £81.92 adrift but I am confident of getting it back.  My reality TV bets are looking good and should be on course for netting some money.  Bullard and Quickenden are the two favourites in IACGMOOH at even money and 7 to 2 respectively, £80 at 9 to 2 and £30 at 16 to 1 is looking nice.  My outside chance tip on Only The Young in X Factor didn't last long though.  Andrea is no longer favourite after being placed in the bottom two.

On to the Football.  Fine margins with the football last weekend.  Charlton drawing nil nil was a real killer.  A goal for Charlton would have meant being £524 up instead of £328 down.  2 from 6 for the long shot bet.  I need to get my NAPS back on track, with a woeful 10 from 15 record at the minute.

Premier League – QPR at 11/8 (Bet 365) is a tempting prospect as they are at home to Leicester.  QPR perform well at home whilst Leicester struggle to pick up points on the road.  A nice price and I will be having QPR this week and they are my NAP.  This is the only game that offers any value for me in the Premier League this weekend.  Liverpool are terrible at the minute and I certainly won't be having them at odds of 8/11 (Bet 365).  Man Utd should beat Hull but at 1/3 it offers little value.  A Man Utd and Chelsea double, Chelsea away to Sunderland in the late kick off, only pays 1.86 (Bet 365).

The Championship – Brentford 11/8 (William Hill) at home to Wolves.  Wolves have conceded 10 goals in the last 3 games and Brentford perform well at home and they have just recently beaten league leaders Derby.  Slim pickings again in this league and it will just be the one game that I concentrate on.

League One – Bradford at home to Leyton Orient offers nice value at 31/20 (Victor).  Despite Leyton coming off the back of a 4-1 victory to Crewe, who are bottom of the league, I still fancy Bradford to nick this one.  Swindon at home to Fleetwood is another game that looks good in this division but the odds are a little odds on with the best price being 5/6 (Sky Bet).

League Two – This division sees top against bottom.  Wycombe are away from home and are odds against at 21/20 (Sky Bet).  Hartlepool's most recent win came away from home and they have only won once at home all season.  Luton even money (William Hill)  at home to Mansfield is another fixture that offers good value.  Luton will be looking to bounce back from a recent defeat and Mansfield are trying to make it two wins on the trot, which is why I think the price is so appealing.

QPR 11/8 (Bet 365) – £100

Brentford 11/8 (William Hill) – £25

Bradford 31/20 (Victor) – £25

Swindon 5/6 (Sky Bet) – £25

Wycombe 21/20 (Sky Bet) – £50

Luton evens (William Hill) – £75

£50 double QPR and Luton £50 at 4.76 with William Hill

103.66 Acca for William Hill and fivefolds, fourfolds and trebles 42 bets at £2.50 each (£105 total).

22nd November Tips

By | November 22, 2014

A good week last week on the tipping front with 3/4 bets landing. This takes the season profits to £330, and we are starting to amass a decent amount of success now as the season form grows. This week i have picked out 1 bet in each of the top 3 divisions of England, and a double to hopefully develop the season profits further.

After the international break we are back with some nice looking Premier League games. Stoke are 3/4 to beat Burnley which is a nice bet, as is Everton to beat West Ham at 11/10. I'm not picking these though as there are others that i prefer. With Newcastle's recent resurgence i was surprised to see them at 20/23 to beat QPR. The Geordies are the PL's form team and are tough to beat at home on any given day. They have won their last 6 matches, and are unbeaten at home in their last 4, winning 3. QPR's away form however is awful. Despite an improvement in overall performance over the last few weeks they have lost their last 5 away from home. It is because of these reasons that Newcastle are my bet of the day in the PL. Another game to note is Chelsea at home to West Brom. This strikes as the proverbial ‘give-me' and will as a result be the first part of today's double. The odds of 1/4 isn't great but it only helps to boost the overall odds of the double and i cant see anything other than a comfortable home win.

Newcastle to beat QPR £50 20/23 Boylesports

In the Championship there are some decent odds around when you look at Norwich to beat Brighton at 10/11, and Watford to beat Derby at an even better priced 9/5. These are tough games to call however, so although i like the look of them, i wont be sticking my neck out or taking the plunge on these. The game for focus for me in the championship is Blackburn vs Leeds. Leeds are poor this season and  very inconsistent. They are without a win in their last 4 away from home losing 3. In contrast Blackburn are unbeaten in their last 7, and have only lost once at home all season. Blackburn are 8-11 to win this one and i can see a clear win here today.

Blackburn Rovers to beat Leeds United £40 8-11 Paddypower.

League 1 is again the place where i think the best odds and form are. I'm continually surprised by how generous the odds are in this division. Last time this happened i was stung by an extremely dodgy game between Notts County and Walsall, where the odds didn't make sense and the betting during the game was also very strange and left many to think something was amiss with that one. However, I'm hoping that was a one off as far as County are concerned. That game aside Notts are the form team in League 1. They have won their last 7 in the league. Yeovil in contrast lye bottom of the league not winning in the last 8, and losing 6 of these 8. County are 11/8 to win this, when i would put them as odds-on. This is my bet of the day, and i would normally lump on this, but due to the last contentious game vs Walsall i'm only staking £50 of my profit on it. The other game i like in League 1 is MK Dons vs Port Vale. Vale's away record is awful and the MK are one of the best teams in the division. They are unbeaten in 5, winning their last 3 at home. Vale in comparison have failed to 6 of their 8 away games and sees them 17th in League 1 in terms of home form vs MK Dons 2nd in terms of home form. MK are only 8-11 however that's why I've got the Chelsea ‘give-me' to bump up the odds for today's double.

Notts County to beat Yeovil Town £50 8-5 William Hill

Double Delight: Chelsea to beat West Brom and MK Dons to beat Port Vale £35 double 2.13

22nd November Betting Tips

By | November 21, 2014

Another profitable weekend with £122.50 profit.  Mainly thanks to big Phil Taylor.  It was the International games last weekend, so I had to concentrate on the lower leagues.  My NAP didn't put up much of a fight so that leaves my record as 10 from 14 NAPS.  I was so close to going Luton as my NAP, but as so often happens I let the price affect my judgement.  I am sure we have all been there.  The price influences our decisions, it goes hand in hand with thinking that the bookies know everything. I am more likely to place 100 on a 4/6 shot than on a 5/2 shot even if, in my own mind, I fancy the 5/2 more.

Before I get onto the Football I thought I would share my reality TV bets.  This is always a market that i tend to do quite well in.  I think it is about spotting an opportunity early on and getting a good price.  You can then use the option to sell.  I am on various markets and I managed to get £80 on Bullard in I'm a Celebrity at 9/2.  I can't see him being beaten at the moment so I am letting it ride for a while.  Mel is coming across well and stands a good chance.  I also have £30 on Jake Quickenden at 16 to 1 and he is already down to 17 to 2.  He came across really well on X Factor and I think he will be a nice guy in camp.  This is with a view to a potential lay.  I guess that leads us on to the X Factor.  I have placed a lot of bets on this market and it has been spaced out throughout the competition.  I have a total of £105 on this market and it is spread across a few contestants.  If Fleur or Andrea win then I lose the lot.  I haven't seen Andrea winning it despite him been favourite all the way through.  Fleur has been a shock for me and her odds get lower every week.  My original shout from the outset was Ben Haenow £30 at 7 to 1 and he is now 14 to 5.  I still think he is in with a good chance of winning it but I panicked a bit and have had a few more bets.  My amounts are Ben +£166, Stereo Kicks +£143 and Only the Young +£935.  I placed £30 on Only the Young last weekend at 30 to 1 and I think that have a outside chance.  The final bet is on Strictly with my money being on Jake Wood.   I don't even watch this and placed a bet after watching Gogglebox.  He went to 8 to 5 and I was happy with my £50 quid at 2 to 1.  However he is now 3 to 1 🙁 serves me right. In summary I would say outside bets and decent chances are with Jake Quickenden in I'm a celebrity and Only The Young on X Factor, back both with a view to lay.

Now on to the football.  Premier League this Saturday sees a few tasty encounters and some potential decent priced teams.  Chelsea and Man City prices are too short and I will be avoiding both these games.  Arsenal are a great price at 6/5 (Corals) and Man Utd will be fielding a weakened team due to injuries.  Despite Arsenal's poor record against Man Utd recently I can see them getting all three points and I make them this weeks NAP .  Another bet to consider is Sunderland at 28 to 10 (365) away to a Leicester side who have done little to convince me they can stay in this league since beating Man Utd.  The other three games could all be tight and I will be avoiding them.  Although Stoke look reasonable at 8/11 with Paddy to beat Burnley.

Championship – Charlton at home to Millwall, who currently have the worst away form in the league, are a knockout price of 9/5 with Stan James.  It could go either way and I would expect both teams to be around 6 to 4 so the price is great value.  The Championship sees 2nd against 4th and 1st against 5th, I will be avoiding both games.  The 3rd placed team Boro are away to Wigan and after their controversial appointment this week I can see “new manager syndrome” happening.  I definitely won't be touching this one but 7 to 4 Wigan (365) seems a better prospect than 15 to 8 (Victor) for Boro, despite their league positions.

League One – Barnsley are a good price away to Chesterfield, who can't buy a win at the moment.  3/1 (365) is a great price for a team unbeaten in 4 and who have played 2 of the top 5 in that time.  MK 7/10 at home to Port Vale is incredibly short and I would rather lay at that price than back.  Port Vale OR the draw is 13/10 (365).

League Two – Wycombe to get back to winning ways against an out of sorts Cheltenham sees value again at 9/5 (Hills).  Again, this is another game that could go either way but the value is there.  Exeter 3 to 1 (Boyle Sports) at home to Shrewsbury is a price that leaves me scratching my head.  Granted, Shrews are second in the league and have won their last 6 but they have only won 2 of their last 6 away games.  The price is good and Exeter may spring an upset.  Plymouth away to Mansfield seems solid enough and odds against of 6/4 might be worth considering (Paddy).

I have picked some real big odds games this week and I think I will pool them together to go for a decent win.

£100 Arsenal to beat Man Utd at 6/5 with Coral

£50 Charlton to beat Millwall at 9 to 5 with Stan James

£50 Wycombe to beat Cheltenham at 9 to 5 with Hills

Acca – Sunderland, Charlton, Barnsley, Wycombe, Exeter, Plymouth – Pays over 1000 to 1. 🙂

I will be having trebles, fourfolds, fivefolds and a sixfold totalling 42 bets.  If three come in it will provide a small loss. If four come in it pays a fourfold and four trebles.  This should see a return of three times the stake.  Anymore than this and we are in dream territory. 🙂

I will be having unit stakes of £4 across the board.  It sees a total return of around £22495.10 (Bet 365) for a £168 outlay.  Bet 365 was the best for overall payout on different markets.

Additional 2 bets added Saturday 1pm.

£50 extra on Arsenal at 6 to 5 with Paddy Power to benefit from £50 back as a free bet if the match ends in a draw.

£50 Double at 7.88 with Bet 365 Wycombe and Charlton
